Harry Kane wins the 2026 Ballon d'Or

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane won the Ballon d'Or ahead of Mbappé and Yamal, bringing the award back to England for the first time since 2001.

Kane moved to Bayern Munich from Tottenham in 2023 and has kept up his scoring in the Bundesliga; he is also England's all-time leading goalscorer.

Michael Owen was the last English player to win the award, in 2001, giving Kane's win historic significance for English football.

The Ballon d'Or is awarded each year to the world's best player and is football's most prestigious individual honour.
