Mohammed bin Rashid calls on everyone to raise the flag on 3 November

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum called on citizens, residents, institutions, schools, universities and households across all the emirates to raise the national flag on Flag Day, 3 November.

Flag Day has been marked in the UAE since 2013 and coincides with the anniversary of the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan becoming President on 3 November 2004.

Each year the occasion becomes a nationwide moment, with flags raised at the same time across government offices, schools, institutions and homes as an expression of loyalty and belonging.

Flag Day opens the season of national occasions that runs to National Day on 2 December.
